The Moonbeam ecosystem is evolving. As part of this transition, GLMR (Moonbeam) and MOVR (Moonriver) are migrating to Base as native ERC-20 tokens.
If you hold your tokens in Klever Wallet, you can complete the migration directly from the in-app Browser in just a few steps.
Important: The migration deadline is July 31, 2026. After this date, the Moonbeam chain will begin winding down, and assets left on the network may become inaccessible.
Before you begin
Before starting the migration, make sure:
- Your GLMR or MOVR is stored in your wallet.
- If your tokens are locked in staking, liquidity pools, lending protocols, or other DeFi applications, withdraw them first.
- Keep enough GLMR in your wallet to cover the required cross-chain gas fees.
How to migrate GLMR
1. Open Klever Wallet
Open the app, tap Browser, and select the GLMR (Moonbeam) network.
2. Visit the migration portal
Go to the official migration portal: https://migrate.portal.moonbeam.network/migrator
3. Choose GLMR and the amount
Select:
- GLMR
- the amount you want to migrate
4. Review the destination address
For most users, your connected wallet address is already correct.
5. Bridge to Base
Tap Bridge to Base and approve the transaction. That’s it! Your GLMR will arrive on the Base network at the same wallet address.
How to migrate MOVR
The process is almost identical. Open the same migration portal and select MOVR. Follow the on-screen instructions until the migration is completed.
Note: MOVR migration includes an additional step through Moonbeam before reaching Base, as required by the official migration process.
After the migration
Once the migration is complete, your assets will be available on the Base network. If the token doesn’t immediately appear in your portfolio, enable it manually in your portfolio view.
